The first comes from how the World's Finest were able to force Hal Jordan's ring to abandon him and choose them, simply because they had more willpower. As utterly cool as this sequence and this entire concept was, the amalgamated Batman/Superman/Green Lantern hero reveals some startling hidden truths about the Green Lantern rings in general. Usually, that power would last a single Lantern 24 hours. The only disadvantage of this new form was the fact that it drained the power from the Green Lantern ring within minutes. Batman and Superman's minds were one, working perfectly in sync. A small nuclear device is stolen and is being used to threaten Gotham City, so Batman enlists the aid of a criminal named Brill to identify the blackmailer.but first, the Caped Crusaders must survive some death traps arranged by Brill and his men. ![]() This new hero had the efficiency and tactile mind of Batman, with the powers of both Superman and Green Lantern. Not only that, but they managed to easily defeat a whole host of Justice League-level heroes such as Martian Manhunter, Black Canary, Firestorm and Wally West's Kid Flash. This new amalgamated hero was more than enough to pulverize Nezha and bring them close to victory over this ancient evil. Initially, it looked like it was just a composite of Batman and Superman, but it soon became clear that they had the full power of a Green Lantern at their disposal. When they combined their wills and focused, the ring left Hal and came to them - fusing them into one single entirely new hero. Although neither one of them have the willpower that could overcome Jordan alone, together they could stand a chance. Batman deduced that Hal Jordan's strong willpower, the whole reason his Green Lantern ring chose him in the first place, must be weakened due to his being under the mental influence of the Devil Nezha. In Batman/Superman: World's Finest #4 (by Mark Waid, Dan Mora, Tamra Bonvillain and Aditya Bidikar), the two heroes were backed into a corner. ![]() ![]() All seemed lost until the comic delivered one of its biggest and most interesting twists. With magic being Superman's weakness, that left both of them vulnerable to Green Lantern's attacks.
